No dust jacket. Measures 8-3/8" tall x 5-5/8" wide. 182 pp. (Atkinson, #A 28-I-i.a). A collectible 1st printing of this play, one of 7,500 original copies printed. Based loosely on the life of Marco Polo, from the four-time Pulitzer and Nobel prize winning playwright. Overall, fair condition, with flaws noted: corners bumped and rubbed; head and tail of spine chipped with cloth removed; spine darkened and goldstamp text non-readable. Boards have general soiling along top, fore and bottom edges. Interior, front and back hinge cracked; front cover loose. Text block contents tight. Front free endpaper, titlepage, and epilogue page detached and laid-in. Heavily annotated on backside of ffep, as well as other notes throughout book, all in pencil. Some soiling and foxing to first few pages (title, copyright, etc.) No other marks, tears, dog-ear pages, remainder mark or library stamps. Not ex-library.
