Signed in pen on the half-title page: "With Cordial Regards of the Author, Thomas Rees". A signed, 1st edition / 1st printing copy of this book - SIGNED BOLDLY IN THE BOOK! Not on a bookplate or sticker. Contains sixteen full page black & white pictures of classical locations in Egypt and the Holy Land. One will remember on November 4, 1922 Howard Carter discovered the undisturbed tomb of Tutankhamun's (subsequently designated KV62), by far the best preserved and most intact pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings. Book is in very good condition with flaws noted: Corners bumped and rubbed. Gilt title on cover bright, gilt title on spine worn but still readable. Previous owner's name written in script pen on ffep. Front gutter starting on second blank page, one page before half-title (and signature page). Contents clean and bright, with no other writing or marks.
