Illustrated with 70+ photographs. Biography of Samuel Insull, the Chicago Utility Investor credited with wiping out the life savings of 600,000 shareholders, and leading to the enactment of the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. Insull controlled an empire of $500 million with only $27 million in equity. Orson Welles' masterpiece CITIZEN KANE is in part based on the life of Samuel Insull & his wife. Book in fine condition with flaws noted: Book corners slightly bumped. No dustjacket present, else fine and tight in a clean and complete binding.
