New York: Macmillan, 1938. First Edition. Cream cloth hardcover with grayish dust jacket. Measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" tall. 133 pp. A blank verse important addition to the poetry of New England tradition; distinctive in that it combines the dramatic force of the epic with the charm of the lyric. Situated in a Vermont homestead, built on a tall hill called 'Valhalla'.Overall, fair condition, with flaws noted: Corners slightly bumped. Foxing / yellowing to front endpapers, a tragedy of paper quality. Dust jacket heavily chipped along top and bottom edges, and head/tail of spine. Considerable water staining present on lower front and back dust jacket and board edges, however does not affect any text pages (only slightly on corner edges of endpapers). Book tight and complete with no interior writing, underlining, etc. Not ex-library.
