New York: Doubleday, 2000. . Measures 10" tall x4-3/4". Softcover fiction pre-reader that contains excerpts from seven soon-to-be-published books by Doubleday, including Choke, by Chuck Palahniuk. Pictorial covers, 100 pgs. This unique item contains chapter 20 of Choke. Choke was released May 22, 2001. Item is in good condition with flaws noted: upper back corner creased on cover. Light bumping to corners and head/tail of spine. Black remainder mark on lower outer spine No interior marks, writing, or tears. Not ex-library.

Early printing of Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, which was later published in book form in 1996. Included in this publication is a short story entitled 'Project Mayhem', which is Chapter 16 of the novel. Item is in Near Fine condition, with crisp pages and very clean front and back covers. Slight crease at spine gutter. Lower front corner and lower spine bumped. Now enclosed in a crystal-clear, re-sealing, acid free archival slip.

Also featured in this issue: Lynda Sexson, John Nichols, Heather Doran Barbieri, among others. Sixteen authors total. Includes first printing of Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk (signed by author at his contribution), which was later published in book form in 1996.
